It wasn't long after Jesus' resurrection that his followers decided to write down events of his life and their experience of relationship with him. Since then, over millennia, people have been writing in order to gain, or to give understanding about their faith in God, as well as writing about doubt and all places in-between.
Some write for an audience, with the aim of publication, but a larger majority write for themselves, maybe sharing with one or two close friends, finding it an invaluable aid in thier journey of faith. During this day we will make time to explore how writing can deepen our understanding of our relationship with God, self and others.
It will not only be about writing but also about listening to ourselves and to God. We will aim to discover how we can tap-into and explore your own experiences and story, faith and doubt and to put that into writing - be that single words, poetry, prose etc.
There will also be space to share what you have written, if you choose to. This day would be of benefit to those who have not written before but would like to explore how it might become part of thier faith journety. It would also be suitable for those who do write already and would like space to make time to write and share thier writing with others.
