What does being "inclusive" really mean?

  • Wydale Hall Wydale Lane Scarborough, England, YO13 9DF United Kingdom (map)

Tuesday 27 September 2022

Arrival: 10.00am
Depart: 4.00pm

We hear a great deal about 'inclusivity' nowadays, but what does this really mean in our settings? Anne is the Regional Ambassador for Inclusive Church for East Yorkshire & Humberside and she offers this day to look at 6 main areas of inclusion: disability, ethnicity, gender, mental health, poverty, and sexuality with the intention of providing opportunities to consider as a group how to make church more inclusive. This isn't about being bombarded with political correctness or wholesale change, just a chance to open up a conversation to help people grow in empathy and take time to think about the experience of being in church if you are part of a marginalised community.

Led by: Anne Dannerolle
Cost: £25.00 including lunch and refreshments
