We live in changing and unpredictable times, when many tried and trusted approaches ro mission are no longer effective, and where fruitful work in one place is not necessarily fruitful in another. This places discernment at the heart of leadership in mission.
This study day on the nature and practice of discernment is based on the conviction that the Holy Spirit is the active local leader of the mission of the Church, and human leaders must develop the capacity to discern and cooperate with his presence.
