Depart:  9.30pm

Children and young people are innately curious about life.  Prayer Spaces in Schools enable children and young people, of all faiths and none, to explore life questions, spirituality and faith in a safe, creative and interactive way.  Taking a broadly Christian perspective as a starting point, prayer spaces give children and young people an opportunity to develop skills of personal reflection and to explore prayer in an open, inclusive and safe environment.  The approach does not proselytise and purposely allow pupils to make their own meaning and to draw their own conclusions.

Since 2008 more than 1500 prayer spaces have taken place in primary and secondary schools around the UK and internationally.  If you'd like to know how to get started with prayer spaces i your local schools, and you're keen to meet with others who are runnig prayer spaces around the region, then come and join with us.  The evening will include  practical how-to-get-started training, stories from local and national prayer spaces, plenty of time for quetsions, and some example prayer activities for you to try out.  Who is it for?  Anyone interested in hosting prayer spaces in their local schools.

Led by Olivia Seymour, Education Adviser for the York Diocese and regional networker for Prayer Spaces in Schools.

Cost: £15.00 to include and evening meal or £5.00 for the event only
